Going into the Freedom Classic against Virginia State, Virginia Union posted a 10-2 overall record.
The 1st half was not an impressive one for Union only shooting 28% from the field and going into the half tied with the 3-11 Trojans.
Like Union does so often this season, they improve tremendously in the second half pulling out the win 71-43 in the Richmond Coliseum.
